Guide to the city

Heres a quick easy list of where you can go on this site and what you can expect there since the layout of the site sticks to the storyline. Dont be afraid to post in any of the forums!

NEW STAND - This contains the update thread, this help thread, and two sub forums for people to post in their problems, confusion, and their introductions to the forum if they wish.
CHITEREN CAFE - This forum is for people to chat aimlessly about whatever they like whenever they like to whoever they like. The rules of conduct here are probably the most relaxed.
PET GARDEN - Here you can post your pets from any site and if the forum is busy they might get clicked. Please try and click on other peoples pets.
BARS AND INNS - This is the roleplaying and chatbox forum. Here all the role plays can be posted, and in each main bar thread, like the Sanctuary, there is a link to a chatbox that anyone can use. There are four chatboxes, each one is different.
SOAPBOX STREET - Here people can post a thread about anything that is annoying them in their life. Either to help them release the stress, or maybe find someone else online that can help them.
CRAFTS DISTRICT - In this section go the threads including anything like photos, art, music, videos, writing and other things deemed creative.

NAVIGATION BAR - The bar at the top of the page has some useful links to places on the site, though the ones labelled FELKYO and ITEMS lead to the other half of this site where the main pets can be obtained. You will have to sign up separately to gain access to the pets, the sign up there is also very easy and short.

The currency in this marketplace is called masks. They are not overly ornate or large masks like those with sticks and feathers. They are almost more token like, similar to the ones used in the profile and users icons in the navigation bar. They can be earned by posting in forums or in profiles comments, or adding a friend in your friends list. They will be used in various things such as the fortune telling in the The dark fortune pub, and on any rare pets or items that will be sold in this marketplace.

POSTING - To post click the relevant button on either the forum or topic screens. You may need to register before you can post a message. The facilities available to you are listed at the bottom of the forum and topic screens. Unless you are the board admin or forum moderator you can only edit or delete your own posts. You can edit a post by clicking the edit button for the relevant post. If someone has already replied to the post, you will find a small piece of text output below the post when you return to the topic that lists the number of times you edited it. This will only appear if no one has replied; it also will not appear if moderators or administrators edit the post (they should leave a message saying what they altered and why). Please note that normal users cannot delete a post once someone has replied.
POLLS - When you post a new topic (or edit the first post of a topic) you should see a Add Poll form below the main posting box. You need to enter a title for the poll and at least two options to set an option type in the poll question and click the Add option button. You can also set a time limit for the poll, 0 being an infinite amount. The limit to the number of options in a poll is 10. As with posts, polls can only be edited by the original poster, a moderator, or board administrator. To edit a poll, click the first post in the topic, which always has the poll associated with it. If no one has cast a vote then users can delete the poll or edit any poll option. However, if people have already placed votes only moderators or administrators can edit or delete it. This is to prevent people rigging polls by changing options mid-way through a poll.

You should always be able to send private messages to anyone. First check a few things, check that you are logged in, check that you have not been banned, (you will have got a message if you were) and check that the name of the person you are sending the message to is right. If you ever receive adverts, abuse, scams or anything else that should not be in a pm please contact a admin or mod.

PROFILE - To alter your settings click the Profile link shown at the top of the page. This will allow you to change all your settings.The times are almost certainly correct; however, what you may be seeing are times displayed in a timezone different from the one you are in. If this is the case, you should change your profile setting for the timezone to match your particular area, e.g. London, Paris, New York, Sydney, etc. If you are sure you have set the timezone correctly and the time is still different, the most likely answer is daylight savings time. The board is not designed to handle the changeovers between standard and daylight time so during summer months the time may be an hour different from the real local time. The most likely reasons for this are either the administrator did not install your language or someone has not translated this board into your language. Try asking the board administrator if they can install the language pack you need or if it does not exist, please feel free to create a new translation.
AVATAR - The large picture that represents yourself on the forum is uploaded from wherever you like, and can be anything as long as it is acceptable by general society. So no naked pictures please! You can upload the picture on the avatar tab in your profile settings.
SIGNATURE - To add a signature to a post you must first create one; this is done via your profile under the signature tab. Once created you can check the Add Signature box on the posting form to add your signature. You can also add a signature by default to all your posts by checking the appropriate radio box in your profile. You can still prevent a signature being added to individual posts by un-checking the add signature box on the posting form.
PETS - You can currently choose a type of pet to explore the forum with you. You can choose from a list of current pets that will appear in your profile when you click the small arrow button that appears near the word pet. They are currently just for showing off your favourite pet. Not all pets have been miniaturized yet.

There are a few rules for members, its mainly the obvious such as;

Do not use this site to sell or advertise anything.
Do not purposefully harass the members.
Do not steal any of the images associated with this site.
Do not post unsightly images/videos/slideshows/text pictures, nobody wants to see them.
Do not cyber in public forums, we really dont want to see that either.

If you see someone breaking these rules or obviously trying to please report them by sending a pm to a admin or mod telling them what is wrong.
