Yes it is mashed up taters... goes well with toad in the hole.

Boiled taters , add tad of milk some butter some cream and a pinch of salt, then mush it all up until its nice and thick and creamy.Then season to taste.

Mash with gravy D: lovely

Yorkie puds are awesome, their a light pastry made into a edible dish often used to keep the food (often drenched in gravy) inside the plate. It is crispy around the sides and the bottom of the pudding is light, fluffy, and often greasy. I once had a friend who ate spaghetti in yorkshire puddings. o.o'

Lol no, its a large slice of potato fried in fish batter. XD Its like a fish battered chip, you can get them at the fish and chip shops around here. I think its only known about in the North.
