Er, where is the link on the site to redeem trades and visit the Message Center to see if we got trades?

Sadly there is a glitch in the trade system, the person offering the trade looses all their currency. I have tried everything with currency options, and asked several times if it could be fixed, but BMR couldnt figure it out, and I dont want to keep nagging... So I made the trade thread thanks to Nightstooth's idea. I check the forum and site a lot during the day so if anyone says on the thread they want to trade, or if they send me a message about it I can quickly and easily do it myself. If I'm away I'll leave someone else in charge of doing it. And the message center is at the top of the page on the header above the log out link and gemstones, it just says 'visit message center'. It doesnt appear on the account or inventory page, just on ordinary pages like the shop, the portals, ect. Tell me if you still cant see it, no one has complained about it so far so I presumed they all have it.

They only lose money upon trading money.

Nope, no matter what the settings or the trade the person who sends the trade loses all their money. I just tried it now with the stock account to see if it's been fixed, but all the money still disappeared, without any trade tax or money involved in the trade. And it was over 1000 gems that went, so its not a glitch in tax. Unless its glitched to over the max amount of money because I did try it with the max amount, and only a few gems, but either way it all still disappears. Besides if it was that easy to figure out BMR would have figured it out when he came on the site to have a look... I'm sorry, I've tried hard to sort it out but it's looking hopeless, which is really annoying.

I can tell you that it bugs if you don't trade a pet for a pet. On another myadopts site I'm on, the owner was giving me a pet from winning it through the trade system, and I lost all my currency. I haven't had any issues with losing currency on there if I trade a pet for a pet, at least with the admin status accounts that I was doing trades with to get some of the pets that I didn't have. I don't know if it has the same issue with trading between regular user accounts.

(Edit: I don't know about pet for pet and currency. All of these were without trading currency.)

Thats interesting, I dont know about trading a pet for a pet, I'll try it later when I come back online. If that works I might make a free pet as a kind of trade token for trading over.

I don't know if it will mess up coins if you add coins to a pet for pet trade. Hopefully it will help with the problem, though.

Alright, I did the testing and the results are interesting. You're right Night, if you trade a pet for a pet the gems are left unchanged. But if you trade any amount of gems along with the pets then the trade sender loses all their gems. Ah well I've been looking for an excuse to make gem or gold pets. I'll make some and put them in the main shop for something like 1-100gems so that people can trade them in for gems to me as well if thats what they wanted in the trade. Does that sound better? Or shall I just put a notice somewhere saying people have to trade pets and only pets?

I guess it depends on what you want to do. If you don't get a lot of trade requests, you can probably still keep up with doing it manually for us. If you do put up a link to the trades page, you definitely have to put a warning that we'll lose our gems if we change the default gem amount.

Are you going to replace the gems currency with the gem pets or are the gem pets going to be like the wine bottle that's already on the site?

I havent had any trade requests so far, or barely any item requests either, but I like giving the option to people. I really couldnt replace the currency with pets, that'd be too confusing when adopting pets. People would have to trade for all their pets and then they'd have to wait for me to finish the trade, so I dont think that'd work. The gem pets would just be like tokens, they wouldnt increase in value or change form like the wine bottle since their only purpose is for trading. The wine bottle was really only meant to be a way for busy people that dont have time to click tons of pets everyday to earn gems. And because they would only have a single form they wouldnt take me long to make, so dont worry about that.

If you're going to open up the trading so people can trade tokens and pets between themselves through the trade system, have the tokens stand for a more meaningful amount. The trade system only allows people to trade 1 pet for 1 pet. If a person has to trade multiple tokens for a single pet, someone will lose their gems. It's about 100 gems for a single pet so I suggest having tokens in demonations of 100s.
